Change my theme can decrease my page rank?

  • I am running web design blog: webdesignerhu.com. i am thinking to change my website theme. can any one help me with theme change rank of my site decrease or it may cause effect on my web traffic.

    My some friends suggest me not to change my theme they says if i do that i will lose my traffic.

    Help me to get out this confusion……
