Change My Role To Admin

Someone else created my website for me and I have just realized that I am not an administrator on WordPress for the site.
That person is no longer communicating with me, so he is not helping at all.
I believe I am an author on the site. I own it, however and I need administrator access. How can I do this? Thanks so much!
