    Hello,

I love this theme! It′s simple, smooth and very nice that it′s responsive.
I use this theme for a client of mine, and I was wondering if it′s possible that I can change the color in the menu and the color from the text in the menu above the header. It′s a wish from my client.

Wich line in CSS or style file need I to change it?
I can′t find it wich line rule I need to change.

    Can someone help me?

    Many thanks!

    Sincerely,
    Bas

    One more question:
How can I change the main font from the theme?

    Thanks!

    Sincerely,
    Bas

    Hi,

the easiest way to find this out is by using Firefox webmaster tools. You will find info about this here:

    https://mtomas.com/389/tiny-forge-framework-child-themes-comprehensive-guide#Use%20child%20theme%20or%20not

Also I believe this question was answered here before.

If you want to disable current font or change to another google hosted font, take look at functions.php file, or use plugin that will let you use custom fonts.

    Dear Tomas,

Thanks for the link about the child theme and about the costum fonts.
I cannot find the topic about my question, so there for I opened another topic, haha :).

The Child theme is already in the zip file from Tiny forge it self?

Changes must be in the child theme, I guess?? ??

    Tomas,

How I can disable the current default font? And how added I Google hosted font?

If possible I will make you administrator in WordPress. I will make for you a temporarily account. I will give you the credentials through mail.

Yes, Child theme is in inc/..zip you have to unzip it and upload it as a separate theme. And you’re right – changes will be in child theme only.

To disable font, open functions.php of a child theme, find:

// 1.2 – Tip13 – Remove Open Sans (from Google Fonts) as default font.

and uncomment that function – remove enclosing /* and */

For the google fonts, find Tip31 – Google Fonts support. Load Google Fonts stylesheet in functions.php. If you don’t know how to handle it, use a plugin.

If you want to pay for the job then sure. Otherwise my free time is very limited, so I better invest it in developing the theme and fix things that affect all theme users. That’s just reality, you can never do all things thrown at you.

    Thanks for your reply!

Well, it works with the font. I was looking yesterday in the afternoon. And it works.
But I didnt use the child theme, I see now. A bit stupid from me. But it works in functions.php now.

I cannot change the color in the menu from the background and the letters in the menu. Wich code rule I need too change? Is this in the style.css file?

Yes, I understand. Normally I have no really questions about themes. But my client wants a costum menu. First I will work it on my own to change, but If I cant make it out, I post a topic by the theme developer. ??

Tiny Forge was created so users could teach themselves, so if I will give you a caught fish it would defeat the purpose.

You will have to figure affected CSS rules on your own – it’s time to become big boy/girl ??

I’m pasting the excerpt from the link I gave you before:

Tips and Tricks. Don’t know what CSS rules apply to what website element? I suggest using Firefox Inspector (a part of Web Developer Tools in Firefox) to see what styles are affecting the elements. You can activate it with: CTRL+SHIFT+I and select the element you need with the mouse. See this video tutorial about Firefox Inspector. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcuQ2Bn5bTA
