Change media upload folder on a local environment?

Hi!

I have a site on a local environment (using Local by Flywheel) and wish to change the location of the uploads folder from this

https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads

to this

https://mysite.com/files

I have added “define( ‘UPLOADS’, ‘files’);” to wp-config. This does indeed result in media being added to this correct new folder when I upload files through the dashboard, but the URL of the file location is instead stated as some jumbled mess of the URL and my local folder

https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/C:sitefoldersiteapppublic/files/picture.png
and because of that the images are not showing. I assume I use something slightly different to “define( ‘UPLOADS’, ‘files’);” for a local environment. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
