Change max size for user avatars only?

    Hello and thanks for this wonderful plugin! I’m very happy with it and so are the users on my site ?? There is just one thing I would like to ask. Is it possible to set the limit file size for User Avatars? I don’t want users to be able to upload avatars bigger than 1 megabyte. If this is possible it would be great! I hope someone can help me further with this issue I have and any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • Right now, the size limit comes directly from your server’s PHP settings. Changing the limit would affect all uploads to the Media Library, not just avatars. That’s the only way to limit the size if you’re using the Media Uploader.

    For Contributors and Subscribers, they don’t use the Media Uploader, so I may be able to add a size limit just for those user roles in the future.
