• Hello, i would like to change the login to my network wp-admin to make it safer. I have tried to change it in the users page of the database but then i loose some privilege in the administration of the network. does somebody know how to do that in a clean way? My network has 4 websites.

  • If I get you right, you’re trying to change the USERNAME?

One option would be the create a NEW USER with the desired new username, grant it super-admin privileges, and delete the old user. And you can do all these from the dashboard.

Hello, thank you for the quick response. Yes, i have seen this option on the web, but you have to use a separate email and when you delete the old super administrator you have to choose the option of transfering all his history to the new one and i am not 100% sure that the transfer will take place correctly. And when it is done, too late… I would prefer an option modifying the database. I tried changing the login in the users page of the database as i found the suggestion on internet too but with the new login i loose privilege on the network. I suppose it works for a single site but for a network, there is a change to do in an other part of the database and i have not found anything about it on the net.
