Hi @sreejan1508, thanks for your question.

We simply have the stance that hiding the login URL is “security through obscurity”, so sometimes poses problems for services like Wordfence Central attempting to hit the login page of your site to authenticate – but this issue will never come up for some. You can see more about here if you wish to: https://www.wordfence.com/blog/2017/10/should-you-hide-wordpress-login-page/

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Hey @sreejan1508,

No, Wordfence does not offer that option altough many other plugins do (e.g., iThemes Security, Perfmatters, etc.). We use Perfmatters.

It would be nice if Wordfence offered that option and allowed their customers decide what’s best for them.

Special Note: Keep in mind that if you obscure your login URL, there may be login links in your website (generated by other plugins) that could be affected by the change. In these cases, the plugin developer (not Wordfence) may have to issue a special filter to ensure the affected login links work as intended. Case in hand is the plugin, WPDiscuz, which uses WordPress’ standard login URL.

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Best wishes ??
