Change login error messages

WPUM does not manage login error messages. All login errors are handled by WP itself, WPUM it’s simply displaying whatever WP it’s telling WPUM to show.

Are you using the login_errors filter? If so, that filter only works when using the wp-login.php form or when using the WP’s built-in functionality to print the login form via wp_login_form().

WPUM uses a custom form, but the authentication is handled by WP.
