• I have a wp multisite, one for dutch and one for german, i want to use two languages: Dutch and German. i want to place the two language files for each language .mo and .po in /wp-content/languages, but i can select just one in wp-config.

    the other posibility is place them in the directory and select in settings*general the language, is this working for the frontend or for the backend only?, i just dont wanna use a plugin

    please help

  • Download the .mo language file for each language you need, and create a new folder in your /wp-content directory called /languages. Upload the .mo files to the languages folder you just created.

    Moreover, upload the languages files for each language at your theme /wp-content/themes/twenty-twelve/languages (front-end translation)

    For each site, you will have to go to settings and choose the language you want.
