  • Hi Rudy,

Would you mind telling us what things that you have tried so far?
    Thanks!

Well, in the other topic they’re talking to change wp-lang in the config.php file and when you’ve chosen NL fort instance that everything is translated where there is a lang file. But this was for older versions of WordPress. No wp-lang necessary anymore (even tried it).
I just want to know what/where I’ll have to change something so that the translation (which has been done by someone because the lang files are in the plugin) actually work. Can I change this somewhere in the plugin options?

    Hi Rudy,

We don’t currently have a way to change the language directly in the plugin options. For more recent versions of WordPress in order to set the language file in the plugin you need to make sure your WordPress is set to your desired default language and then place the translation files into the /lang/ folder (not in any sub-directories) with their proper naming, for Dutch I believe this should look something like:

    ultimate-product-catalogue/lang/UPCP-nl_NL.mo
    ultimate-product-catalogue/lang/UPCP-nl_NL.po

    Hope that helps!

    Hi,

I finally figured it out where the *.mo file and *.po files has to go

    The correct path is: wp-content/languages/plugins
The correct name is: UPCP-nl_NL.mo and UPCP-nl_NL.po

I’m translating the plugin myself now, because the NL translation of this plugin is incomplete.

    Hi Rudy,

Thanks for letting us know about the path, that’s good to know.
Also, if you would like to email us a copy of your translation other users would love to have access to the files in your language. You can send them to us at [email protected], and we’ll be sure they’re included in a future release.

    Thanks!
