Change language

    Hi,

    I want to change the language of the Forever theme. It’s now on english and want to change it to dutch.
    It’s only the theme, I changed the forever.pot file, no result.
    I find translated files; wpcom-themes-forever-nl.po. and .mo uploaded them to following folders:
    wp-content/languages/themes
    wp-content/themes/forever
    wp-content/themes/forever/language

    Also no result. Any suggestions?

    Did you change the language in wordpress settings?

    1) Login into the WordPress Dashboard.
    2) Click on Settings.
    3) Click on General Settings.
    4) Select the desired Language from the drop down menu at Language section.
    5) Click on save changes.

    Thans you for your reply.
    That settings is already in dutch.

    I need to know the correct path for the files I assume. Or somewhere change a code in the theme to dutch?

    @poiter, there is a Codex page on WordPress in Your Own Language, but sometimes it can be a little hard to follow.

    @kathryn did a clear, detailed explanation in a post on doing this though so you may want to take a look at it also.

    Thanks for your reply!

    Finally I changed the names of the wpcom-themes-forever-nl.po and wpcom-themes-forever-nl.mo files to just nl_NL.po and nl_NL.mo
    Now he gets the correct translation.
