change language

Hello,

I have downloaded wordpress in english but i write my blog in french so for the public, everything must be in french. I don’t care if my dashboard is in english, it’s fine. How can i make the changes easily? i don’t know if it’s good to use another plugin as it makes the site go slower.
I thank you to guide me through the process.
