Crowdfunding is only one part of our business and we use WooCommerce for our store, and we have noticed since the new update all our customers email are saying

You’ve received the following donation from CUSTOMER NAME
    [Donation #0000]

    Campaign

Is there anyway to remove these or only have them appear on Crowdfunding invoices?

We launch our buisness within 7 days so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello @ourcoastau,

You can navigate to Woocommerce settings > Emails tab to disable email notifications for the ones that you don’t prefer to receive notifications.

I prefer to keep these on, I would prefer to change the text back to the default WooCommerce text not the updated text, is that possible?

    Hello @ourcoastau,

You can share screenshots of the text or copy paste the exact strings that you see so that we can guide you accordingly.

The top image is what it is now and the bottom is what it use to say.

The two lines we want to change back are

You’ve received the following donation from CUSTOMER NAME
    [Donation #0000]

    Hello @ourcoastau,

Navigate to Woocommerce settings > Emails tab > New Order > click Manage button to edit/change email subject, heading, additional content and so on then save your changes.

This was the first thing I tried but its set correctly that why I thought the plugin maybe overwriting it some how

    Error 2

    Hello @ourcoastau,

This specific email template is rendering from woocommerce and not from our crowdfunding plugin so you need to edit woocommerce email template. You can click “View Template” button to see the codes and change them accordingly to meet your custom requirement. Remember to save changes at the end.

    Hello all,
I was fixing this issue also,
the email templates that the plugin uses are actually located in
    plugins/wp-crowdfunding/woocommerce/emails/
you can change the wording there. However the crowdfunding plugin replaces the ORDER with DONATION I’m trying to locate this file and change it also, but no luck so far. If you have the knowledge for the location please let us know!
    Kind Regards,
    Denia

Its in the same folder in
    email-order-details.php

    Hello @denia11,

Our plugin incorporates this specific email template from WC and yes you are right about the file- you can edit line 34.

Thanks this seems to of rectified the issue. Will this change again when we update to a new version of WP crowdfunding? If so can this be a changeable option in the admin panel please.

    Hello @ourcoastau,

You can override this file from your child theme so updating the plugin won’t affect customization.

How do you do this? @munayam

Also I’ve noticed that it doesn’t change the wording before the invoice number, how do we change that?

    Hello @ourcoastau,

Can you share screenshot of the wording you are trying to replace. You can edit them from the following file

    \wp-content\plugins\wp-crowdfunding\woocommerce\emails\admin-new-order.php

    Image

It changes the top from Donation to Order but the Donation text next to the invoice number won’t change.
