Change image size in a visual portfolio carousel block?
-
I set up a carousel block on one of my pages that shows the other posts sorted by a custom taxonomy, using a custom query. All of these posts have images and they show up in the carousel. However, seems like the plugin pulls the full-size unoptimized images. This is bad for the page speed and they also look over-sharpened compared to the optimized images. I want to change the sizes of these images to lower resolutions.
I see it is possible to specify the “Layouts Image Sizes” in the plugin’s settings, so the functionality is there. But I don’t see where you actually specify them. Where can I specify, for example, to use the small size (500 by default) in the settings of a block?
Edit: My bad, seems like it actually does optimize them. I checked what images are actually on the page, and seems like the resolution of the images in the carousel is 500×281. Also, switching the images in the featured images of the linked posts to .webp’s helped with the oversharpness.
