    Hi,

I have duplicated my wordpress site to a different domain (but same server) to have a staging or rather a sandbox to test out new stuff. I did change all the DB links and the website adresses in the duplicate installation.

However, when I log in to wordpress.com to see my sites, statistics and so on, the two sites with different domains seem to be connected somehow. For instance if I change the name of my duplicate site in the wordpress iphone app, the change will also reflect to the main site.

Is there some sort of unique WordPress Site ID that I need to change on the duplicate site?

    Thanks,
    Philippe

Ok, I just had a look into the whole thing again and I found out Jetpack was the issue. When you duplicate a site with Jetpack you have to deactivate and reactivate Jetpack so you can connect the duplicate site seperately to wordpress.com.

Due to the differences between the free hosted blogs offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask at WordPress.com Support if you have additional questions.

No, I am talking about a www.remarpro.com installation.. but with Jetpack you can connect your site(s) to your wordpress.com account and then see statistics there, for example on the mobile wordpress app… But like I said, it was just an issue of reactivating jetpack on the duplicated site. All good now, maybe it helps someone else.
