    Hi

Is there a way to change the Zoom level of the google maps location on the Job Listing page?

I am using WP Job Manager with the Jobera Theme

Currently when I input the location it zooms in to a very close map location

I would like to be able to pull this back slightly so that the map only show the approximate city that the job is listed for.

    kind regards

    Gary

Is it an on-page map? WP Job Manager doesn’t show a map so it may be part of jobera..

    Hi Mike

Below is a link to an example page so you can see exactly what I am talking about…..

    https://timelegalrecruitment.co.uk/job/residential-conveyancer-derby-derbyshire/

If you look at the bottom right you will see a Google map that only appears if you input the location via the Admin-Job Listing Page.

The problem is,we do not want to give an exact location as candidates could by pass us and go directly to the company advertising the job.

As you can see it Zooms in very close to an exact location but you can’t see the name of the city.

What I would like to do is zoom out slightly so you can only see the general area / city where the job will be based.

I have spoke to Jobera support and they tell me this feature is controlled by the WP Job Manager plug in…..but to be honest I do not know what controls it.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hi Gary

Job Manager stores the lat/longitude but does not display this map. Are you sure its not another plugin? That may be the code which sets the zoom level; so you need to work out what is outputting it.

Job Manager does show a link to google maps however; see the location linked here https://demo.wpjobmanager.com/job/user-experience-designer-lead-systems-analyst/
    This uses zoom level 14.

Just remember whatever you do, the real lattitude and longitude is used so there is nothing to stop a user zooming in themselves using google maps.
