Change front page from a post page

  • Hi!
    I am quite new to WordPress. I started working with a theme called I-Max. Everything is working fine except my front page is a post page. What I want to do is to keep the layout but to make it a normal page where I can put my content. If I change the front page to a page I′ve made, my slider and the whole layout changes. Is there anyway to fix this?

    Here is how it looks atm. I simply want the design from my post page to be on my custom made page.

    go to menu “Settings” > “Reading” > “Front page displays” and set the static page you created as your front page

    Hello Marsian, after doing as you instructed the home page simply looks like the page.

    The slider is lost and the frontpage customization are also lost.

    Never mind, problem solved! I saw your comment to the same issue in an earlier ticket. Thanks
