    Hi Matt,

I have tried to specify from address different from domain name and I got error “access denied”. Therefore, my SMTP server does not allow this.

I have tried to use third party email senders but spam filters block those emails by two reasons: one of them is a trust to those senders and again emails are not coming from same IP as a domain.

For now when email is sent out it is coming from [email protected] however when user hits reply to email is filled with your email, so you will definitely get reply from user.

It is possible to ask your SMTP server credentials and connect to your server to send email but would you trust to give out those settings?

Other plugins have the ability to send email from an email address specified within the admin pages and this works without any problems.

I understand that on reply the user will see the correct email address, but from a company perspective, this doesn’t look professional when the original email was not sent from that address.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Our plugin is different from others. It uses Reservation Diary API, so actual reservation logic is handled by that API and server where it’s located. So that server sends emails.

Most of our customers are ok with from address being [email protected]

I can offer to you a tradeoff: You subscribe to our basic package and pre-pay for 1 year, we will change plugin in a way that it will send emails from your SMTP.

New version released that sends client reservation confirmation email from email specified in wordpress admin page.
