    very annoying. does these plugins give money to google to use recaptcha?

    We understand your frustration, but this change is required to ensure the future of the plugin.

    To answer your question, no, we do not pay Google to use reCAPTCHA. However, funds are needed to continue developing and improving the plugin, and support its users.

    We receive a good number of support emails every day, mostly from the users of the Free edition of the plugin. To reply to these emails, apply reported bug fixes and continue developing the plugin, and ensuring it is always up to date and that it works with the latest version of WordPress, WooCommerce, Contact Form 7 and other WordPress plugins, we need a lot of resources.
