Hi. My WordPress website displays all text in grey. I want it to be black so it stands out more. I created a table using TablePress and all the text was black, but when I inserted the table’s ID into a page and hit “View,” all the text was pale grey.

I know I have to go into Appearance/Editor/CSS but what should I do once I’m in there? I’ve never edited CSS before and don’t want to do something wrong. Please advise. Thank you.

  • OK. Did that. And it made my th black on my iPhone 6s. And changed my font. However, it disabled the responsive scrolling feature.

    Hi,

please leave the responsive=scroll parameter in the Shortcode. I only meant to say that you remove the <pre> HTML tags.

OK. Got it. It’s all good now. Initially, I had responsive=mode. Once I changed it out to ‘scroll’ it all works fine now. Thanks for your help. JT

    Hello,

I am experiencing a similar problem with the table at the linked page. The text in the table appears white and I would like it to be black.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The code you already tried is almost correct. Just remove the -id-2 part (i.e. use .tablepress ...) to have this apply to all tables.

    Tobias
