Yes, it’s possible. Open gallery themes section and there open for edit theme which you using in your gallery. Scroll down to the thumbnail hover configuration option and there you’ll see set of the options for configuration colors and styles of the description.
Also you can modify there styles of the gallery titles.

We’re working on new release where we’ll implement lots of new functions like: integration with social media, new hover effects , lightboxs and grids.

Gallery hover effect will be more customization with support of google fonts and svg graphics.
