Change File URL

  • I updated some media files that are linked to by a document that I sent to individuals a whiled back. However when I uploaded the updated file, the URL month changed and the old document links to a previous month within the URL. How can I change the new URL link for the newly updated file to the old month so the old document links to the updated file?

  • The most straight forward solution – don’t change the URL, change the file location.

    Make sure the file names are identical, then move or copy the updated files in the new folder to the old folder, then your old links will point to the updated version.
