Change featured home to regular page

  • Hey Guys! Im new here, so please be a little kind to me ??

    Im making a website for the bar im working at, and for this I am using the Foodeez theme, with wordpress 4.0
    For their homepage it is important to be able to display promotions etc. So as I always do, I made a page, named it Home, and set the reading on static page – home.

    Now the problem; The normal homepage has a featured layout, which is very different from the normal other pages’ layout. I wish not to use this featured home page, but I lack the knowledge to change this. Is there any way I could simply change the path (of the index.php or something like that) to direct te user instantly to the “home” page I created (so to a subpath website.com/home), and still have the logo link to this page too?

    I have a basic understanding of PHP and HTML, but im struggling with the shortcodes WordPress is using!

    Any help would be greatly appreciated! ??

    (Sorry, can’t link the website with the theme yet as I am still trying to bypass the featured page thingie.)

    Please try to comment or remove front-page.php file and refresh your site.

    Sorry for the so much delayed reply. Unfortunately it did not solve the issue. It’ll get rid of the featured boxes, but the whole page will still look different from a “normal” page.

    Any more idea’s what i can try?
