change dropdowns to listboxes

This plugin is perfect, it does everything I need, but I have a client that’s insisting on a certain look. They don’t want dropdowns, they want scrolling list boxes. Normally I would go in and just add a size=’5′ or whatever to the select tag, but when open up search-filter.php and do that to the two select tags in the functions, it doesn’t display at all.
Where do I make the change for this?
