change domain name/hostname/url

I’m using wp 3.0.3 multisite. Sites are setup like this:
https://sub.domain.com/wordpress
https://sub.domain.com/wordpress/blog1
https://sub.domain.com/wordpress/blog2I’m trying to change the url of https://sub.domain.com/wordpress/blog2 to https://other.otherdomain.com
I was able to modify .htaccess so that https://other.otherdomain.com is working but paths are not, i.e. https://other.otherdomain.com/category/inspiration/ is only show the index page.
Another example: https://sub.domain.com/wordpress/blog2/2011/01/01/one-hot-post/ is working; https://other.otherdomain.com/2011/01/01/one-hot-post/ is not.
Should I go the .htaccess way or I’m able to fix this in the settings by editing site options (siteurl and home…)? or domain mapping?
