Change Directory Layout

How did you get the business name (in your case “zone”) to appear correctly without the space? ??

The ordering of the categories is determined by their order of creation in WordPress right now. I think we need to allow for category ordering more manually, but haven’t added it yet.

As to the layout, you have a theme that seems to handle list items (li) in a way that is contrary to most themes. If you temporarily switch themes, you’ll see that the directory does indeed format in a proper hierarchy. As it does here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/business-directory/

Thank you for your kind response. I’ll need to find some way around that. Eccajune, not sure which space you’re referring to but the field association of my ‘Zone’ is ‘Post category’ and the field type is ‘select list’. I simply renamed the original field (not sure what it originally was) and got this result. I hope it works for you too.

I’m not seeing what you’re seeing as I browse your site. Can you post a screenshot of it and circle the affected area? Things look OK to me on Firefox 15.

Do you mean something else besides this? If so, could you please describe what you are looking for or provide a sample link?

where categories listed i want to show images there. i dont know from where it is creating li dynamically. can you tell me please that how i can show categories images i have downloaded category image plugin . that is showing in business category ….

The category image plugin you’re talking about may not recognize BD’s categories, which are from a custom post type. We are planning on having a “real” version of this for us available soon. I’m not sure if what you are doing will work, and if someone else has successfully done it, you’ll have to ask them in the meantime.

Sorry jdheyns, just saw this. I’ve rearranged my entire layout to work my way around some of the problems I was having, which were caused by my theme, so the page I was referring to no longer has the BD structure, but I point to the BD structure and use it to manage the entire directory.
