    I don’t know where I read it,

    I want to continue work on a digital downloads page.
    But somewhere about digital downloads I found that once they are up, older users can’t acces them if the page is changed?

    Is this correct?

    Hi there,

    Could you clarify what page you are changing? Do you mean that an existing download file is moved from one product to a different product?

    Here’s more information on how existing downloads are handled after editing them: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/#section-10

    Yes, If you opt to just change a page where users are subscribed to and paid for to have acces to. Or any issue along those lines really is a bad thing. Not that it did any job of protecting your files anyway.. Don’t think Woocommerce is up to par for selling digital content in general.

    I’m long gone,

    Maybe it’s better to have acces level content restriction, or something along the lines of a keygen.

    @yhellow,

    That’s an alternative as well, for example, Memberships

    In Woocommerce if the role for a user would change after a successfull purchase, users coud link that up to any action they see fit. If users have to dive into the php to get the after purchase flag to change a user role from the plugin is a slightly more excentric thing to do. Also users have to do a lot of studying to get there..

    If so theres more ways to avoid the content being public by default. By having it access level restricted, so you cant just fish up the link to it <. This is a thing that has to be avoided manually by placing files outside the main database at this point.

    Hey there again!

    That would require quite a bit of rewriting of how WooCommerce works. It would be great to have you add your ideas to the Ideas Board(https://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce), which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.
