@yes931 – The gallery preview image is set under Gallery > Manage Galleries for the specific gallery in question.

You may need to clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous to see the effects immediately.

    Thanks!

Thanks Cais, but that doesn’t work. When I click Gallery > Manage Galleries, I don’t see anything that says gallery preview image (it’s just a list of the galleries with no options) or if I click on the gallery in question, then it’s just thumbnails, no preview pic anywhere to change the default pic for the gallery on the page. I’ve cleared image cache many times, generated new thumbnails and don’t have any other cache plugins running. Disabled all plugins as well and using nextgen pro too. Turned pro on and off and using basic thumbnail galleries in newest wordpress version with all nexgen updates. It’s Nexgen 2.1.26 with Nexgen pro 2.3.42 on wordpress 4.4.2

When I click to reverse sort order, it shows the opposite sort order of what it looks like when I go back to gallery and uses the same image which ever sort order I put it in. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it as well and made new galleries, but same thing on all of them. Is there any way to select which image you want to use as the default image for a gallery or other fix?

@yes931 – If you are not seeing the “Gallery Settings” panel it may be closed in your specific instance. At the far right side of that bar is the click area to toggle its display … https://take.ms/5BeHo … we are looking into why this issue occurs but do not have a solution yet.

    Thanks!
