Change date of post

I have a bunch of posts on my blog that are years old, that I am “re-posting” in my forums using this plugin.
I’d like to change the date of the forum posts to the day those posts actually appear in the forums, rather than the date that the post originally appeared on the blog. Short of changing the blog post date, is there a way to do this, e.g., any lines of code I could change?? Definite feature request, but don’t mind getting in there and changing some lines of code, just need some guidance ?? Thanks!
