Change Custom Post Type label for Breadcrumbs

  • Joost, I would like to see a change in how the Custom Post Type label is queried within the WordPress SEO breadcrumbs plugin. Currently, it queries the CPT ‘menu_name’.

    I would like to have a slightly different (or shorter) ‘menu_name’ within the WordPress admin.

    Would you consider changing it to ‘label’ or ‘label->name’?

  • Yes! I have the same problem too! Does anyone knows how to fix this problem? The ‘Menu Name’ of your custom post type appears in the breadcrumb. And I need the Menu name for my cpt because the name is too long in my admin menu.

    It would have to be modified in the core files of the plugin; which I don’t want to do. That’s why I’m suggestion the plugin developer change it.

    I’m not sure if there is a reason it has to call the ‘menu_name’ object.

    I’ve send in a pull request for your suggested change. Not sure whether it’ll make it in, but at least it’s being tried ;-).
