• Hi,

I’m using a child theme of Twenty Fourteen

I’ve made a search for the color codes I want to change.

    I found around 50 occurrences.

What I would normally do is copy all the CSS codes where the color appear in my child them style.CSS then change the color code to what I want.

Given that there are 50 of them, I was wondering if there as an easier way to do that.

Ex : every time you see #41a62a change it to #XXX

    Thanks

  • Pretty much all text editors have a global search-and-replace function. You could download your child theme’s stylesheet using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides, edit it in a text editor, and then upload it again.

    Thanks for your reply

I was looking for a solution to avoid copying the whole style.CSS file

I feel that the use of child theme should be to put only the CSS code you want to modify, and not touch the rest !

If i copy the whole style.CSS file, then I won’t get eventual style.CSS updates when I update the theme !

That is the correct usage, but I can see how my instructions were a bit unclear. You might be better off trying the Fourteen Colors plugin instead.
