Hey, first of all I would like to thank you Kadence Themes for the great theme!

While adjusting the Virtue theme to my needs, I found out that the headlines/headings of each post on the frontpage are displayed in h4-size.

On any other page (for example category or archive page) headings of posts are displayed in h1-size.

I played around with some css-editing but was not able to change the h4-headings to h1. Can you help me please and give a hint?

    Thanks in advance!

  • You can’t change the html tags with css. you would have to edit the template files. for that I suggest using a child theme so you don’t lose your changed with an update.

Also so you know the category and archive pages should show an h2 tag unless you have set those to show the full post and not the post excerpt. See here for example: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue/blog/

Oh, well, now that makes sense! Editing the “blog-home.php” on a child theme worked like a charm, thanks for the hint.

And yes, I choose to display full posts instead of excerpts, so I think that is the reason I get h1-headlines on archive/category pages.

    Thanks for help!
