Change category link

Hello,

In a website we have post in a certain category.
Each category (ex. cat-1, cat-2, … , [mycategory]) have it’s own page (not the default category page – lets say: mywebsite.com/news/cat-1, mywebsite.com/news/cat-2, mywebsite.com/news/[mycategory]).

Each page we create will have the same slug as the category.

The breadcrumb trail identifies the link of the default page – mywebsite.com/news/category/[mycategory], and so on.

Is it possible to remove “category/” from the link used in breadcrumb trail?
