Attachment download links are created like:

    https://www.astrotools.com/product/onyx-1-2-inch-thor-impact-wrench/?attachment_id=4000&download_file=ezf0s0py08rlv

But in the case of PDF attachments, this breaks the local browser settings for displaying PDF’s .

Can the plugin be modified to instead create links as the actual url of the file like:

    https://www.astrotools.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/1894-parts-breakdown.pdf

Using this type URL would likely fix some other issues people are having with browsers.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Damon18,

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your suggestions.

We have added that type of URL for security purposes.

If you want to showcase PDF attachment as default URL with full PDF path then you can add attachment as external URL and it will work for you.

Click here to review the document guide for the settings.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Hitendra & Dotstore Team

I understand the security reason, but please consider offering the option of producing the actual url in a future version.

It looks like that external URL option is only available on the premium plugin and not the one here at www.remarpro.com, is that correct?

    Hello Damon18,

    Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, that advanced feature is available in the premium plugin.

Sure, we will review and consider the actual URL in a future version.

    Best Regards,
