It is PHP code, and you can add it to functions.php of your theme. Make sure you have a custom theme or a child theme, otherwise it will be overwritten when your theme is updated.

About the spamfilters, you can look at the Settingspage at the antispam-tab. I suggest to leave it at defaults first, they should be fine.

That example code has a string ‘test’, which you can add your own text, like ‘Reply by’.

If you change the code of the plugin, it will be overwritten when an update comes.
