Change Admin Name and Password

  • I don’t want to lock myself out so I’m just confirming the best way to change my ADMIN username and password.

    Is it to login to WP, then change it under Users?

  • You’ll need an additional plugin to change your username -> Username Changer. Once logged in you’ll also be able to change your password via Users -> Profile.

    Additionally, this can all be done from the database but if you’re not familiar I wouldn’t recommend it.
