Change 4 vert paragraphs in Page to 4 blocks

  • Hi,

    I have standard Twenty Thirteen. All static pages, no posts, comments.

    I wish to convert 4 vertical text paragraphs to 4 blocks of text, in 2 rows.

    Can I do this?

    I mean text blocks like this image even without the other smaller images inside the blocks.

    2 choices maybe..

    Just the text as a block with no background color or
    with background color

    How to do this please, just on Home Page
