Chance sort order in 'Manage Galleries' not only for the session, but forever

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to change the ID sort oder in ‘Manage Galleries’ screen not only for the actual session, but forever. Naturally I know how to change it for the session, but is there a possibilty to save this sort oder? I would like to have it like this:

Same question if I put a gallery in a post and choose what I want to show; there I would like to have a changed order, too:

Is this possible? If it is – how?
