Chained or Parallel?

Can somebody confirm how astoundify utilizes the EDD WePay OAuth2 plugin for split payments? Specifically, is it processing payments in parallel or chained fashion? I.e., parallel: payment is made directly to each party by wepay; chained: payment is made to one party and then a set portion distributed to the second party.
