CF7 works just fine “out of the box”

  • To contrast with the various posts, Contact Form 7 CF7) in 5.4 or 5.4.1 works flawlessly for me, it “out of the box” and only as a way for readers to contact me.

    ReCaptcha V3 was problematic (but did not prevent CF7 emails being sent and received properly).

    Using Shield Security Pro (SSP) Security plugin, I turned off Captcha v3 for cf7, kept SSP’s Captcha v2 keys and then used SSP’s cf7 antibot integration to fence from bots/spam. Works just fine and I don’t get the ReCaptcha logo on the bottom right of my pages either.
