    Hi,

I have found a problem which is affecting every single contact form on all of the websites I manage or have built (20+).

I am using CF7 (latest updates) with Google reCaptcha v3. reCaptcha’s keys have been correctly added to CF7’s Integration page. Despite this all forms – default out-of-the-box ones and complex forms, all fail with the same error when trying to send from many different email addresses.

I use Themeco’s Pro Theme, which bundles CF7 with it. Themeco’s support have confirmed that Javascript is correctly set-up and rendering, but that CF7’s console log invariably shows the below message for all failed attempts:

message: There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.
    status: spam

How can I resolve this issue, please as it is affecting all production websites I operate, including those with live advertising campaigns.

    Please respond with all urgency.

    Many thanks,
    Christopher

    Thanks Neil,

I found the problem shortly before your response – after hours of searching!

For anyone else in the smae situation, check your caching plugin. My issue was caused by two settings needed to be turned OFF:

    1. Load Javascript deferred
    2. Javascript combine

I hope this helps others. It took quite a bit of finding and double-checking.

    Thnaks,
    Christopher
