CF7 Smart Grid Design Extension won’t update or save changes

I notice in my research that in another post you asked for the network information in the web console, so here are mines:

I checked my own installation with just the 2 plugins enabled, but I am not able to reproduce this strange issue. Likely there is an error in your WP installation or possibly the theme you are using is causing errors.

Can you enable WP_DEBUG mode to see if you have any php errors being reported.

You could try to switch your theme to one of the default WP themes (twentynineteen or another one) and see if that makes any changes.

(1) When saving or updating the form it will not save after the initial publishing of the form. When I make changes and click update, it doesn’t save the changes and takes me to the WordPress all post menu where I can see my posts in the dashboard.(I am clicking update as in the original WordPress option.

Any update on this issue? This could be due to several issues, a javascript error (inspect your admin page before savng/updating to see if any are reported in the console) and/or a WP installation problem.

2. If I have an existing form the CF7 Smart Grid Design Extension will not show as available to use in the form edit mode it only shows the old contact form edit mode.

that is normal, as the Smart Grid requires special html structure to make responsive layouts. Old forms designed with the CF7 editor will only be editable in the ‘Text’ editor of the Smart Grid. If you want to design a grid layout form you will need to create a new form.
