I have setup the “reply-to” as suggested online but it shows a syntax error. I just sent a form test through & it worked. I was able to reply to the email & goes to the user’s email. That’s great but I’m worried about the syntax error.

    1) is there a way to get rid of that syntax error? 2) if I can’t get rid of it, will the forms stop going through at some point in the future?

    Thanks!

  • Possibly the same issue so I link my problem to the one above.

Why a syntax error is given to this:
    Bcc: [email protected]
    Reply-To: [vhv_naaminit] [vhv_achternaam] <[vhv_email]>

All fields are valid and do exist. As above the mail functions well!

Make sure the input field is an “email” field. I was using a “text” field to ask for the user’s email so when I put the reply-to as something that was a “text” field, it gave off a syntax error. As soon as I made it an “email” field we were back in business ??

    Hope that makes sense!

Thank you, it makes sense indeed!

The emailfield is indeed not marked as email but as dynamictext. That was required because in some cases an emailaddress is already known and therefore pre-filled. To do this I am using CF7 Dynamic Text Extension.

There is not such a thing as dynamicemail?
