CF7 Prevent send email and cancel submit

  • Hi,

    I currently have a website that’s using Contact From 7 on it’s contact page. I’ve been asked to add functionality that when a user submits the form the contact details are submitted to Zen Desk. I can easily hook into the pre and post submit hooks of CF7 and access the Zen Desk API, however, when for what ever reason Zen Desk throws an error I’m not able to 1) cancel the form submission and 2) tell the user something went wrong. What would be the best way to do this?

    This is brings us to my other question, since I’m submitting my contact details to Zen Desk there is no reason what so ever to send out an email at all. How can I prevent CF7 to send out an email?
