• Hello, for a few days now I have been trying to get my web form to work again. It had worked for some time. Now it no longer does. I installed Postman SMTP and it states that Port 25 is closed. I have been on with Godaddy support many times now and they say the port is open, “there is an issue in the code of the form plugin”. I am using a godaddy domain, hosting, and email address all from within Godaddy. All my self help has failed and we need this form back up and running or need to change soon. Everything on the website indicates a successful email send. Godaddy confirmed the email account is working and we receive emails from other customers there all day long. But NO emails are coming from the site web forms. Can you help?

  • Well done on posting so much detail!

    First,

When you run Postman’s connectivity test against the GoDaddy server you have configured (relay-hosting.secureserver.net:25), it should tell you:

? ?? Port 25 can be used for SMTP to relay-hosting.secureserver.net.

At least for me it does. I notice you have STARTTLS disabled in your settings. You might want to re-run the wizard. This might be causing your email to fail to send.

    Second,

the domain accuratemailing.com does not have an SPF record created, ironically. While it’s not causing the issue you described, it should be fixed.

    Third

Everything on the website indicates a successful email send.

is this claim verified by the Email Log? Can you show us the Transcript for a message that you didn’t receive? (FYI, there is a bug in Postman that causes it to not record a Transcript if there is an error… install Postman v1.6.7b to fix this)

    Fourth

Show us the configuration of your Contact Form 7 form. Specifically, the Mail: part.
