CF7 not designed for usage on colored pages?

I’m a fan of CF7 and use it for our contact page form.
Today I wanted to add a second CF7 form to be placed in our footer with a colored background. But guess what: the spinning arrow icon seems to be designed to only be used on a white background. Is this correct?
How can I therefore hide this icon or replace it with one compatible with a colored background? (Thus not showing the white pixels).
