Strange: I did like I was told and used an email address belonging to the site domain (arkhaus.no) for receiver information. I am pretty sure that it worked before, but now I discovered that emails sent via the contact form just disappear (no, they didn’t end up in the junk-folder either). Anyway, Flamingo tells me that these mails actually were sent..!
For testing I now used a not to the site domain belonging email address for receiver information. And – these emails come through! A big drawback is that they have the wrong receiver…

So my question: Why do emails sent to the an email address belonging to the site domain not (longer) reach their receiver? Any suggestions..?

I don’t know exactly what I did, but changing back to the original receiver information (an email address belonging to the site domain) made the system run correctly again: All emails reach the right inbox.

What I else can say is that i kept the “From”-field open, filled in only “[your-email]”. CF7 warns about that “Sender email address does not belong to the site domain.“. But it works for me and I am happy – so far…

It would be nice to somehow let CF7 know that we’re using a subdomain in the FROM field to avoid the error notification. Some our customers SPF records are pretty long so we use [email protected] so that it can have it’s own SPF record when we’re setting up a postmark or mailgun account for relaying their messages.
