    Hi, your plugin is great and is working fine so far but my WordPress install is showing a warning:

      Certificate verification disabled (sslverify=false)

    And the hook in use comes from your plugin:

      WPSEO_License_Page_Manager->handle_response()

    Are you aware about it? Does it mean your plugin is disabling HTTPS in some way? Is there a solution or a work around? Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

    Can you confirm you are using the latest version of WordPress 5.4.2 and Yoast SEO for WordPress 14.3? By any chance, are you running the premium version of Yoast SEO for WordPress?

    Please also check if you are meeting the necessary plugin requirements here — https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/

    Hi Michael, I’m using the latest version of WordPress 5.4.2 and Yoast SEO for WordPress 14.3. And no, I’m not running the premium version of Yoast SEO.

    I found some code to use filters in the functions.php file:

    function http_request_force_ssl_verify( $args )

    Is it something you would recommend to use?

    Thanks so much for reaching out about this. We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. We totally understand how that could be frustrating for you! Let’s get down to the bottom of what’s going on here.

    We are not aware of such issues specific to Yoast SEO plugin, nor Yoast SEO disables the SSL on any sites. Therefore, we are really not sure whether you should add the relevant code on your site or not.

    To investigate the issue further, can you please confirm whether the issue persists when Yoast SEO is disabled on your site?

    We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi, again thank you for being so thorough in your reponse, much appreciated. This issue is not showing anymore since the last 4 days and I don’t know why, but it seems to be gone. If it ever happens again, I’ll disable YOAST SEO and I’ll let you know if the issue persists.
