I try to translate wp-job-manager with Loco Translate in Listify Theme.

Terms like: “Your listings are shown in the table below.” cant be translated. The translation is done both with Loco Translate and with Poedit. Nevertheless something suppresses the display of translation at the url /my-account/listings/

    What am I doing wrong??

    Thanks !!

Can you paste the translation file you’re using here:

    https://gist.github.com/

… and send us the link? Want to make sure it’s formatted correctly, etc.

Is it *all* strings that aren’t translating, just some, or just this single one?

    Thanks!

    Hello Adam,

i have three different PO File for WP Job Manager. Here they are:

PO File for Bosnian – translating “Date Posted” line 1465 – not working – /adresar.org/wp-content/languages/plugins
    anonymous/wp-job-manager-bs_BA.po SECRET
    https://gist.github.com/anonymous/794c09eabd7e8dd7f3ba

PO File for German – translating “Date Posted” line 1413 not working /adresar.org/wp-content/languages/plugins
    anonymous/wp-job-manager-de_DE.po SECRET
    https://gist.github.com/anonymous/97731d418dc30164da80

PO File for Bosnian – translating “Date Posted” line 1392 not working /adresar.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/languages
    anonymous/wp-job-manager-bs_BA.po SECRET
    https://gist.github.com/anonymous/902e7484985246350c65

I tried so many solutions, tutorials.

Please, i need an instruction. I can delete all the Loco Translate generated PO Files and start the translation again. BUt, where ist the right place for the translation PO Files for WP Job Manager?? Number 1 or 2??

    1. /wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/languages
    2. /wp-content/languages/plugins

    Thanks!

When you are creating the translation in the PO files, are you using Poedit to also generate a MO file? Those are required for translation to work.

When I generated one, it worked on my test site:

    https://d.pr/i/12KGM/1VNQ4jxo

BUt, where ist the right place for the translation PO Files for WP Job Manager?? Number 1 or 2??

    1. /wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/languages
    2. /wp-content/languages/plugins

Number 2. That way the files don’t get erased on plugin update.

    Thanks!

    Hello Adam,
thank you, but it does not work ?? I can not translate the [job_dashboard]
For example: I delete the po. files over ftp. Get to Poedit, open an copy from desktop. Put the translation in, save the new .po, save the new .mo, put it back in the /wp-content/languages/plugins over filezilla and it does not work ??
I dont know, where the problem is.
It still Date Posted or Listing Expires..
    What else could it be?
    Thanks!

    Hello, @fesha!

I’ve done some tests using your files and your translations are working great for me.

    Look at this screenshot:

    https://cloudup.com/cFTU4RJvu3R

It would be awesome if you could help translating those strings directly in GlotPress, this way everyone would be able to use them:

    Dear all,

I had the same issue as Fescha. I modified and uploaded the wp-job-manager-fr_FR.po and wp-job-manager-fr_FR.mo files in the /wp-content/languages/plugins but, in spite of a 100% translation, several strings remain un-translated when I switch the language to French, for example those related to:
    – [job_dashboard]
    – [submit_job_form]

It would be nice to share with us once and for all a solution for these translation issues since I understand that we are many to try to solve this out.

    Regards,
    Guillaume

Please contribute to the glotpress translation so all users can benefit ??

These files are freely available on wp-jobmanager website.
Anyone to help regarding my issue?

Guillaume if the translation is 100%, check its not a string coming from say a theme which has its own versions of the strings.
