Certain menu items do not show

Thanks for the screenshots.

The menu items are not output in the page HTML, so something must be stripping them from the menu structure.

Do you have any user permission type plugins installed (anything that restricts content to certain users)? Can you try disabling all plugins to see if the menu items return?

Also please re-check the menu items are still in the menu under Appearance > Menus. This page is worth a look too:

I deactivated all plugins and am nowhere near the 90 limit. Still going on. I am at a loss.

Thanks for trying that. I think something more complicated must be going on.

Yesterday, after you posted your reply, I saw more items in your menu (but not all of the ones listed on your admin menu screenshot). Today, it’s back to how it was when I first saw it – fewer items. Have you made any changes to the menu structure which would explain that?

I haven’t seen this issue before, so I’m afraid I don’t have a ‘go to’ answer to give you. Can you take a look at these to see if we can narrow down the issue:
Do you still see all of the menu items under Appearance > Menus?
What happens if you disable MMM?
Can you try re-saving the menu structure?
Do all of the menu items show if you change the sub menu type to “Flyout”?

I’ve never encountered this before. I have a whole bunch of menu items that show in appearance >menus that don;t show on front end. I tried changing to flyout, same thing. Deactivated MMM and still same thing- crazy! I have added some more and resaved a number of times. Sometimes one will stick, I can find no reason why one would and another wouldn’t. I only have one added function for a logout link, tried removing that and no luck. So I am thinking this is not a problem with your plugin. I appreciate your help!

Strange indeed. If it’s happening with MMM deactivated, as I think you’ve figured out already, then the issue will lie somewhere else. Unfortunately I haven’t seen this problem before, so I’m not sure where the problem lies. It may be worth testing on a different server, as all I can think is that your server may be limiting SQL queries and the number of results a query can return (which seems quite far fetched!)
